Fun in the sun and in the Bedroom.

Cantrells and neighbors

Josie, teaching us how to dance on the Suwannee.

WOW! was that a Gator?

That was not a Gator, it was a Sturgon!

Some flew over the Coo Coo's nest!

Bad face contest!!!!!!!!!

And the winner is........................

This is the Fun in the Bedroom portion, and we did have fun.  Our neighbors Richard and Jane S. gave up their beautiful bedroom for the day.  This meant that poor Richard was forced out of bed early, helped to set up his own bedroom and then turned it over to 7 of us girls and left the premises.  Sorry about that Richard, but, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.  These girls were anxious to get started.  Can you believe their bedroom would hold 3 huge tables, a card table, bunch of chairs and still room for me to walk around and get to all the girls, also the Oak bedroom suite.  Thank you both Jane for sharing your home with us.

This is  Sue S.  Sue is very intent on her work here and doing such a great job.  She works full time at their family owned business but took time off today for this class.  She quilts when she has time.  I had not seen her for a while and it was so good to see her.

Pictured in the foreground is Linda, Jane's sister.  Penny is in the background standing and is one of our neighbors.  Both of these ladies are so talented.  Both are into many kind of crafts including quilting.

These ladies are totally involved in creating their masterpiece.  Penny has dropped something on the floor and trying to retrieve it.  Penny took me to a meeting at her quilt guild once and I had a really good time.  She is also a good cook and avid quilter, also paints.  She is partly responsible for getting me hooked on quilting, along with my Sister-in-law Pat.
This is Jane S., also our neighbor and the owner of the house, along with her husband, who had to be rousted out of bed early and graciously turned their bedroom over to us for the day.  Thank you Richard and Jane. Jane is working intently on her Art Quilt. She loves Crafts but loves cooking more and is one of the best around.  Paula Dean, move over.  Jane cooks the best seafood ever..........
This is the only lady in attendance that I did not know, but I do now.  Such a sweet, sweet person.  She is a friend of Sandi's, who is sitting beside her.  I have grown to love Sandi; such a sweet, loving and giving person.  She also teaches classes.  Gotta get her to teach me some of her talent of which she has an abundance.  Oh, forgot to put Jan's name here.  She is Jan C. and is now my friend too.

Look at Sandi's Art Quilt.  It is not complete but is already looking beautiful.  I sure hope she sends a pic when she has it completed.
Just got this updated pic from Sandi. Can you tell the difference in her first and this one?  She has changed and added to and all changes have made it look great.  Now, that is called coming out of the box.  That is what I love, your own imagination flowing from your head right into your piece of Art.  Note the resting bench by the stream of water.  The forest has changed also.  I still want another pic when you complete it.
Linda has stepped right out of the box and put some of her own ideas in her quilt.  It looks great and will look even better when completed.

Jan, that is just beautiful.  I love the way you have added your own ideas.  Looking really good.

Take a look at Sue's art quilt.  She has her own style and it has turned out beautiful.  Look close and you will see a tiny frog floating down the stream on a lily pad.  Way to go Sue.  This was the first Art Quilt for all of them and I just think each of them  have done such a great job.  Penny and Jane did not want a picture made of theirs at this time, but promised to send me one to add to these.  Can't wait to see them.  I am hoping all will send me a picture when it is completed.  Great Job Ladies and we all had such a Great Time!
